About Vinod Gupta School of Management
Vinod Gupta School of Management was established in 1993 as a department and has established itself as a unique B-School was distinctive as the first Indian B- School to be established in an IIT campus. Being a management school in IIT Kharagpur tradition, VGSoM continued the institutes's rich culture of teaching and research. Today, over 25 years later, the school has evolved into an institution, which has won many awards and has never-ending quest for excellence. At the outset with its flagship Master of Business Administration programme, VGSoM now has a portfolio of five programmes. Its Executive MBA course is conducted from its Kolkata campus and draws working executives mainly from the eastern part of the nation. There is an active Doctoral program in the school. Dual Degree in Financial Engineering Its a rare program where students complete a B.Tech in their core branch of engineering, and a masters in Financial Engineering. The program is a joint offering of VGSoM and the IIT Kharagpur's Department of Mathematics and Department of Humanities & Social Sciences. Another first-of-its-kind offering, this programme is a PGDBA jointly offered by three leading Institutes: Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, and IIT Kharagpur.
